Welcoming 2012

I am really have to see a new year on the calendar. Not that it is magical, but there is something about the thought of a "new start" that gives you hope. And lets face it, 2011 kinda sucked around here LOL. We had the normal attachment mental illness stuff, plus all the hospital stays mixed in from Paige's "routine" tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. Emily's seizure disorder stuff, my 4 day stay from what was thought to be a stroke that was really just stress and migraines. Plus looking back I see a lot of really weird negative "junk" I let into my life. Looking back now I think I did it because it was a good distraction from other stuff that was going on in my house. But the bad thing about that is, it doesn't make the other stuff go away, it just brings more stress.  So see ya later 2011 :)

2012 is so our year :)
Layna seems to be on a great med combo. And while she still has her mood swings, she has been able to be calm enough to use some of her tools her therapist has been working on for a very long time with her.

Bradley while still struggling at school, his attachment issues are getting better. HE IS HEALING! The other day he came home from school and gave me a hug when he walked in. It was one of the sideways awkward hugs, and I loved every second of it! It was the 1st time ever! Normally he walks in and yells as me that he wants a snack. So this was a huge step up as you can see LOL. And this morning he gave me the same hug goodbye. I have such hope for him.....

Em , Corey and Paige are cruising along with schoolwork, we found what works for them, and are having a wonderful time learning tons of new things. Emily starts Young Womens at the end of the month. I can't believe it! Where has the time gone! Corey is busy with Scouts and LOVES it. His leader is amazing.

I am so thankful for all the wonderful people in my children lives that help to teach them and help them grow.

I have been busy this week canning green beans, and making salsa. Organizing my home, and teaching my children. I want my simpler life back :) My year will consist of caring for my family and my home, and growing closer to my Heavenly Father. You know, focusing on what TRULY matters :)
